is a new action roguelike 3D platformer from Team WIBY. The premise of this platformer is relatively simple; you’re trapped in an ancient temple and are forced to gather sacred relics in order to release yourself, along with the God of the Abyss, who sends you on your journey to freedom armed with nothing but the right attitude and a grappling hook/whip.

Players can share Temple Codes for their failed runs allowing friends to attempt the same temple or share their Adventure Code which yields a playlist of temples that a player has attempted in the past. System Requirements

Phantom is a weapon in Neon Abyss. It shoots regular bullets at an extremely low fire rate with only a magazine size of 3. However, it can slow down time for a short period, most useful fighting the later bosses.

Should you mis-time a jump, Long Whip can save you in a pinch by grappling those platforms that would otherwise be just barely out-of-reach.

So, it’s a platforming rogue-lite. I’m good with that. Collecting these treasures will extend your own abilities, such as granting a double jump or lengthening the duration of your slide. You also have a whip, which can be used to swing yourself around.

However, the temple's rooms are, for the most part, easy to clear with a single grapple at a time, and more often than not, Whip Again is simply a luxury to have.

Since it grapples almost instantaneously, it increases the window of time you have to grapple a platform while falling fast, which is how I've gotten the most use out of it. You can drop through tall rooms with abandon and more safely snag a platform to break your fall.

Healing three hearts is insanely good, and can save a poor run, especially near the end. This is a somewhat situational blessing, and can be less useful or even useless on a good run. Your mileage may vary.

Each temple run is a blind charge through a procedurally generated funhouse Phantom Abyss murder dungeon. These dungeons range in challenge from ‘leisurely, unhurried jog’ to ‘holy shit what the fuck’. Traps include everything from spike walls to bottomless pits, whirling blades and flying bombs, falling blocks and poison darts, and more. Depending on the level, there might even be a chance for an enemy to spawn, a protector of the temple’s treasure that harries the players at every turn.

The red moving platforms will stay forever unless you have spawned into the main hub where the whips are located.
